Wow – so many good choices! I have to go with Little House in the Big Woods (and the rest of the series) as a favorite from my childhood. I loved reading all the stories about how people lived back then and the wonderful and creative ways they solved problems.

Definitely Charlotte’s Web, no competition!

I shared the blog on my Facebook page. I love your curricula.

I devoured Anne of Green Gables and fondly remember Charlotte’s Web. I am reading it to my little girls now.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe! I can’t tell you how many times I pushed on the back wall of my closet only to have it remain firmly solid.

My favorite from when I was little was The Secret Garden.
ReplyOOOOHHH. So hard to pic a favorite, but I’d say it’s a tie between Little House on the Prairie and Winnie the Pooh. Although Charlotte’s Web is such a bittersweet tale, I’ll always remember. I used to wish I was Laura Ingalls and still love those stories.
ReplyCharlotte’s Web….I read it over and over again. I have also read it at least twice to my kids and hope to read it to my grandkids some day!!
ReplyCharlotte’s Web was my fave classic!

I agree with Orchalia. Its great to keep your eyes and ears open to the serious issues behind birth and becoming a parent but at the same time there are so many variables which can not be mapped out until you actually get to meet your baby. Our ability to accomplish the things we do through parenthood are mostly instinct.
There is absolutely no harm in indulging in all the fun stuff. Goodness knows how much we worry through pregnancy and in my experience this worry we have for our children is here to stay....
